This location is no longer called Tsunami Coffee; it was purchased in Dec 2011 by the son-in-law of Pirate Coffee owners in Depoe Bay, according to the owner, whom we met this morning. Big sign in front says "Pirate Coffee Company." Still has the display case with chocolates, including truffles, fudge, etc. and a few pastries. Fireplace and separate eating area on one side, coffee/drinks can be purchased to go in separate counter area. I had hot chocolate with whipped cream, which was very good but not the best I've tasted (way better than Starbucks, though -ick). Owner is very friendly. Would use again, but they don't open until 8 - at least in February of 2012.

Tsunami Coffee & Chocolate Company serves Pirate Coffee Company roasts from Depoe Bay, Oregon. Pirate is to the coast what Stumptown is to Portland. The coffee was a little too bold for my taste so I stopped at an espresso sized sample that the cashier was nice enough to offer. There's a large case full of handmade chocolate treats that are created on-site. They serve ice cream! The lobby looked comfortable enough with a fireplace and sofas for WiFi web browsing. Local photography and wood crafts displayed for sale. ___Pirate Coffee Company___ piratecoffeecompany.com

Good coffee shop with a friendly vibe, fair prices and some good pastries to boot. I have only been in this coffee shop twice, but i have done the drive through numerous times. The atmosphere inside is great; relaxed and comfortable. The cappuccinos at Tsunami are excellent; the best in Lincoln City and maybe the best in the county (although the Pirate Coffee Company in Depoe Bay, whose beans Tsunami uses, gives them a run for the money). Mochas, drip coffees and hot chocolates are good too. Very good scones and muffins, though I haven't eaten anything else there (despite being tempted by the chocolates). Certainly worth a visit, and if you are just driving down the coast, you'll not pass a better drive-through place for quite a while after this joint.

    * Pretty good Mocha and reasonable price. I think it was like $3.50 ish for medium size. * Friendly service. * They also serve bagels, sandwiches, and other food options. I don't remember all of them because I got distracted by chocolate fudge in their display case. * They have drive thru service! * Decent and nice seating area with fireplace, perfect for stormy and gray day in Lincoln City.

Nice place. Definitely what I think of if someone mentions a coffee shop in a beach town. Good surf/beach vibe going on. Staff is extremely friendly, prices are good and the coffee is tasty. What more could you want? Came here 2 mornings in a row, and I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town. Bonus: they put warmed cream in your coffee for you. No dealing with cold or empty caraffes at the counter. Tip: if you like raw sugar in your americano (like me), they don't have it at the fixing stand. But they have it in bulk behind their counter and are more than willing to let you have some if you ask nicely.

I came here last year with my charming boyfriend for hot chocolate it was so good that this year when I was in town we went 3 times! Their hot chocolate gets a 5 star rating from me. High quality ghiradelli in there no skimping. I tried a mocha the last time and was really happy with that as well. Have done drive thru here for the most part but the one trip inside was quiet they had a fire going and people were reading or working on computers while consuming coffees- a nice vibe. I will be asking to come back to Tsunami again-it's within view of the mighty Pacific added bonus if you want to stroll the beach with your hot beverage of choice.

The coffee and pastries were very good. The atmosphere was random and eclectic but not in a charming way. The patio furniture and fake fireplace were tacky. Not a place to talk with friends. We were the only ones there and there was so much noise from the kitchen we had the leave. Bottom-line . . . Good coffee so get your coffee to go and go to the beach or another relaxing spot.
